tell me how to down size my photos so i can ad to my gallery. my camera is a olympus c-700 ultra zoom. if its easy please let me know. thanks chris p.s this is a old pic but still not bad with my old camera.

You have to resize them in a photo editing program. I believe you can do it in Microsoft Photo Editor as well as in any other program.

You simply open up the file and go to the menu and select resize. Then when you save it, remember to set the jpg compression to high (or quality to fairly low) to keep the file size down. In the program I use (Photoshop 7.0) I use the setting that is about 30% quality, 70% compression and they come out fine for posting on the web. Usually 600x450 pixels should be the largest dimension you should post.

Another thing to consider (I also have the C-700) is your "quality" setting when taking the picture. If you know it is going to be used for posting, why take a 1600x1200 picture? Why not just take a 640x480 pic, which you won't have to resize much for posting. Resizing always results in some loss of quality.
(of course, you lose the ability to crop it much, so there is a trade-off).
