Fire Bellied Toad Question...

TANZEE May 08, 2004 11:40 PM

Just a question...
Is it okay to collect rocks from outside to put in my Fire Bellied Toad Tank? I don't mean small pebbles, but much rather larger rocks for their climbing pleasures. The pet store here sells rocks but why should I pay 20 bucks for a rock!!?? So now that Spring has somewhat arrived up here in the great white north, I was thinking of going for a walk in the woods and finding some nice sized rocks for my tank.
What kind of cleaning do I need to do to them first? I know no sharp rocks...but are there any type of rocks that could harm a toad from the minerals??
Thanks for any info!!!
