what do you do when leave your uro home and go away care wise/feeding ?

my set-up ops with timers so i am not worried about temps but how often should i have someone come over and put fresh greens/veggies in. (my uro has not taken to dry foods yet)

thnx

Well, I have a friend stay over because of the dogs and cat, but I usually have the greens all cut up and in the frig for him. I'd say that if you're leaving for any length of time, that feeding greens every other day would suffice. If there's dry food in the cage, I don't think you'll have a problem.

It matters how old your uro is. A young uro needs to eat every to every other day. I know of adults fed once to twice a week. I feed adults every two to three days and they do fine. But like I said it matters alot on the age.

Yeah, I guess I just assumed without any indication of age, that it was a mature uro. thanks for throwing that bit of info out there.

thnx for the input.

i will be gone for 2 weeks at one point in the summer so i am trying to plan in advance. i travel for work also so he already gets a day here and there when he does not get fresh greens/veggies daily. it is no prob as he eats good (what he likes) and has put on weight in the few months that i have had him. he has the nice big belly that the other uros on the site have now.

as for age i am not exactly sure... but he is a uro macfadyeni and is 8" long.
