Narrow-mouthed toads

caecilianman02 May 09, 2004 09:25 AM

Hi there:

I get tons of herps for my reptile zoo from a local exotic breeder. They sell green snakes, caecilians, fire salamanders, golden tree frogs... Most of thse things I have bought, including the caecilians (terrestrial!) Anyway, they have this long bank of little vivariums with dividers in between them. These house tarantulas, scorpions, millipedes and horned frogs. Recently I saw a new sight. A cage labeled narrow-mothed toad. I know that these are odd and beautiful animals, but has anyone kept these before? I would like a care sheet. the name may be confusing, as the store uses other such names as "fire-walker, emerald hoppers and dragon snake." Thank you.

Most narrow mouthed toad species are easy to care for but the exact setup that should be used depends on the species.
