A question about albinos.....everyone please help.....

lilroach56 May 09, 2004 01:58 PM

I was wondering about albinos crossed with albinos. Has anyone ever produced a double (tremper/rainwater, trmp/bell, bell/rain) albino? if so who? pics? would it be in demand from people?

crossing two Albino strains together, like Bell and Tremper, will produce normal looking babies and not Albinos. they would be het for both albino strains though.

i know that if you bred a tremper with a bell you will get double hets. I was asking about the actual double albinos (dbl. het crossed with dbl. het)

To my knowledge, Las vegas strains and Tremper strains cannot cross. If I am wrong, please correct me

Las Vegas is another name for the Rainwater. They can be bred, they just don't produce Albinos togther.

I've asked about it on here before. I don't see why it couldn't be done...I know I'd be interested in seeing what a double recessive albino looks like though. I think demand would be based on appearance...although males could be very useful as breeding stock if someone has females of both of the strains in the male.

how much would you pay for a double albino? I think i am gonna buy some dbl hets from jodi. Also which two strains would you think make the best combo?
