Tegu Eyes.......

need help please.....my tegu has begun to wake up with one or both eyes shut. they seem dry. i keep my tank nice and humid, and just today its begining to look reddish and irritated. im gonna try and get him to a vet asap ($) but does anyone know anything i can do in the mean time?? like tank wise (more humidity, etc..) or maybe soak him in something. any help is greatly apprieciated, thanx!

i had an alligator lizard with an eye infection, my parents said that black tea helps eye problems so i tried it and it helped my alls eye. take a back tea bag and moisten it with warm water than let it sit on your tegus eye(s), it may help.

If it is a bacteria problem, keep the humidity down!
