Confused about new housing?

Hi, I am going from tanks to cages such as vision or something like it. The problem I am having is I go to the websites and see what I want, but then they advertise for all the extras seperately, such as hinges, heat elements, locks, etc. Some are $10, $20, $30 and so on. Is there a website where I can buy everything all inclusive, so I can just order it, get it home and just plug it in? Help! I need simplification, can someone tell me what basics that they need, without ordering all the extra nonsense. Thank you.

Offhand I don't know of one place that sells everything you need to set up a Vision cage at one shot, though there are some cages on the market now that offer heating and locks with the cage (Moonstruck immediately comes to mind - heat & locks built in to the base cost). Most of the other cage manufacturers let you put together the options you want on a cage, thus the additional costs over the base price. FWIW, I heat most of my Visions with just a plain old heat lamp (purchased at Home Depot or Lowes or even the local feed store) and incandescent bulbs, and bought my sliding glass door locks from Home Depot. Bean Farm has the undertank heating pads by Ultratherm. I am happy with them so far (only been using them a few weeks at this point, but all appears well, and I got great recommendation on them). You can also purchase the FlexWatt tape there and, unless I'm mistaken, they also offer a thermostat to control the temps on the FlexWatt. I currently use the Helix thermostat for my FlexWatt but I understand the other units are just as reliable.

Hope this helps though it's not exactly what you were hoping for.
