Dwarf Umbrella Tree "Schefflera arboricola (Brassaia)" okay for Chams?

I bought an umbrella plant, but since have read that the schefflera are poisonous to chams and that it has to be a certain species of umbrella known as ergonium, or something like that. Please advise.

If you don't have a veiled (who might munch on the leaves) it won't really matter. The schefflera most of us use is commonly known as Hawaiian Schefflera. Not sure of the scientific name. Do you have a pic to show us?
