What are your Day/Night surface temps (hotside)?

What are your Day/Night surface temps (hotside)?

i have heard from acouple of people that 88-90 surface temp during the day on the hot side is good. (please correct me if this is wrong)

i am a little unsure about night time temps though. should they still be around 88 on the surface of the hot side at night?

i am using both a Uth and a light during day.

just uth at night.

thanks

I think the temps should be the same day and night. If the UTH covers half of the bottom of the cage you can get rid of the light.

my uth covers 1/3 of my tank. it is 36" long and my uth is on the left side 12". in the middle 12" spot i have my humid hide and then the right 12" is the cool side.

the cool side seems to stay around 70 no matter what i doo to the hot side.

the middle section seems to stay around 8 to 10 degrees lower than the hot side.

i kinda like the light, but i have a thermostat i can hook up to the uth to lower its output during the day if needed.

so you think i should run the hot surface temp at around 88 to 90 day and night?
