I have a large underbed rubbermaid 41Lx15wx7h I want to house my male boa in anyone have any ideas how to make it a escape proof home? should I use the lid and make it secure some way? should I make some sort of top or frame?

This is a rack system I use for my adult Males. It works great without the lids. It has a pegboard top and bottom for airflow and heat disbursement. These are 40" x 20" x 6.5" Iris Boxes.

Hey Brandon, where is the heat source for that rack? Is it belly or back heat? And what kind of temp controller are you using?

Very nice snake rack, I'm trying to get some new ideas for my next one.

I like that rack the only thing is its too open so the room will have to be constantly warm to keep the heat in. I would need something more covered to keep the heat in.

We use a rack very similar to the one in the previous reply and we use flexwatt underneath the far ends of the tubs. They are controlled by a rheostat and the room is kept at 80 via a proportional thermostat.

Here is a pic of the rack I just finished up this weekend. It is made out of 2X4's which I cut in half for the legs and the support for the shelves. I use two feet of 11" heat tape for the tubs. They are Sterilite 74 qt. 44 x 19 3/4 x 6 3/8 They house adult male boas and a central Americans easily.
