I have two pacman frogs. They are a couple weeks apart in age so they aren't too much different in size. One is in a 10 gal with a large shallow water dish. The other is in a 5 gal with a shallow dish about 2-3 times the size of the frog. Other then cage and dish size they are the same as far as temp and how they are kept and fed. The one in the larger tank never moves. Every now and then will move to a new spot in the tank to bury and that's it. The one in the 5 gal comes out every night lets herself be seen and takes some time so sit in her water. I was TOLD that the frog in the 5 gal feels more secure in the smaller setting and that is why she is more active.
So ok tell me what you think. Does too much room make for a unhappy frog? Will she be more likely to feel free to move around in a smaller tank?
