Cals in Utah?

I am very interested in aqcuiring a pair of cals but i was down in St. George and a park ranger told me that they were illegal even cb ones...is this true? i was not planning on capturing one in the wild i just asked the ranger.

The ranger you talked to is probably wrong, but you should check with Utah fish and game to be sure. I'm sure there is a .gov website that will tell you all you want to know. I would think that in Utah a calking would be considered an exotic species, which is to say, non-native. This would put you outside the reach of laws that apply in California. Go figger.
