Bok Choy

kevyn May 09, 2004 11:46 PM

Is it safe to give bok choy to Green Iguanas? It's been a staple of my male's diet for about a year now, but I've read in an old article in Reptiles that I should avoid feeding it often. I've read in other articles (also in Reptiles) that it's a great food for Greens. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi here is a link to a great food chart and yes Bok Choy is considered occasional because it is high in goitrogens...staples would be collard, mustard, dandelion, chicory etc...good luck...Lyn
