Herp Abuse

LadyPython007 May 10, 2004 09:00 AM

I wanted to make everyone that I can aware of the animal abuse on MTV!!!! I rarely watch that station and I was surfing through the channels and stopped at MTV cause there was snakes on. It was this show called "Wildboyz" which is a couple of the guys from the show "Jackass" who have their own show now. They think they are Steve Irwin or Jeff Corwin or something! Here's what really fired me up about this show. They had found this tarantula and they would pick it up and THROW it on an un-expecting victim and of course that person would freak and the spider would go flying!!! Dropping a tarantula is going to do some major damage if not kill the spider! They did this about 3 times!!! This is some B.S! They also found an anaconda and stuck a condom over it's head! And then they had this "pit of snakes" Where they got this I would say about 7 foot long boa to bite this rag and then they dragged the snake out of this hole by it's teeth!! That's not good... some teeth could be torn out or loosened. These "JACKASSES" even had the NERVE at the end of the show to say "We love animals and would never hurt them." The reason for me telling you all this is because I'm hoping that others will be as outraged as I am and do something about it! Write MTV. Write other animal rights activists. Get this show taken off the air!!!!!!

I would strong ly recomend against talking to animal rights activist groups about this. Contrary to what you might think, they are not our freinds! They will use this incident as ammunition in their fight against the keeping of herps, and to try and out law all herp ownership! If anything we should find a way to contact these "jackasses" in person" and explain things to them with some of my biker freinds!!!
Tony.
