Well today started out really weird for us. We have a few clutches of BLOOD Dragons incubating. The first clutch due to hatch was a small clutch of 9 eggs. Well this morning I opened the incubator and there were 2 eggs still un-hatched and a bunch of little ones running around like MAD. Well I went ahead and pulled out the hatched empty eggs. 1...2...3...4...5...6...7... then proceeded to pull the babies out and put them into a tank and get them set up. 1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9... hmmmmmmm I did a double take...counted the empty eggs once again....counted the babies once again... then repeated this thinking how in the heck and I miscounting such a small number. I then realized that I had 2 sets of twins hatched. I wish I would have seen them actually poking their heads out of the eggs but they must have done in late last night or really early this morning. They are all doing awesome and there is no size difference between the babies like normally happens when twins are born. I just thought I would share this with everyone as I thought you would all get a kick out of it like I did.
