leo trying to escape

sirfugu May 10, 2004 01:51 PM

i know people have posted on this before but i cant remember what advice was given so i'll just ask anyway. I've had my leo for a few days and i noticed her today trying to walk up the side of the glass. she was acting like she was trying to escape. I have her in a 10 gal temporarily until i finish her custom tank. Can anyone tell me why she would be doing this. I have a heat lamp on during the day with temps from 86-88 and 81-83 on the cool side. Does there need to be a bigger diff in the temps. the only reason i can think she would be trying to escape is because of the temps. i dont know what to do any help would be appreciated.

Most do that for the first few days, I wouldn't worry about it. He/she is just not used to the new surroundings. However, if it continues consistantly for a long period of time something may be streesing him/her out. Mine did that every so often even after four years.

She probably just sees something outside of her cage and wants to go to it.
