ordering feeders online...

lilroach56 May 10, 2004 08:01 PM

well today (at around 6:15 EST) i finally ordered some mealies of the internet. The cost of 1000 mealies, mealworm food, and shipping (shipping was like 45% total cost) at the pet store would ge me 300 small mealies on wood shavings. I just saved a bunch of money (lol, cant say "i just saved a bunch of money" without thinking of geico). The only thing that surprised me was ths shipping, my total order was like 26.58 and shipping was like 12.86! I think i am sold from buying feeders online.

I know the feeling about preferring online breeders over petstores - for animals OR feeders (although I'll still resort to my fave pet store for waxworms). I found that the GREATEST place to get worms from is www.grubco.com They're inexpensive, and they have excellent feeders and wonderful customer service. You can get 1000 mealworms for $9.75 Shipped, or add $5.00 if you want 2000.. and prices just get better from there. For bedding, you can get all your bedding supplies for really cheap at the local grocery store.

LoL Sorry, I'm not trying to rain on your parade. Your $26 for everything IS is a really good price compared to pet stores! They're only there for last minute back up

where did you order from, and how much did you order?
We order from Grubco.com, and we get 5,000 large, medium, small, or mini for $26 even shipped ($18 for 5k, plus $8 shipping).

I ordered them from fluker farms, 1000 mealies for 6 bucks. I think the shipping was so expensive becaus i ordered like 5 pounds of high calcium feed.
