Another Question

Sorry about all of the questions, but I really need help since this is the first time I have ever delt with a gravid female. As I wrote in my other posts, my gators mated about a month ago, and I was wondering if I should isolate her in a 12 gal (they are in a 60 gal right now) to make sure that she will lay her eggs in the container I provided, because I know that if you turn the eggs over while taking them out they could drown. I really need some answers, and I am sorry if I am asking so many questions but I really want this birth to be a succes.
Thanks in advance.

If you have an extra 12 gallon available, it might not be a bad idea to put her in it just in case she decides not to use to cool whip container. Furnish the 12 gallon tank with paper towels as a substrate. You can add a couple of cardboard tubes like those from inside paper towel roles as dry hides. This way the cool whip container will be the only place with a moist substrate. Make sure that you have plenty of moist substrate in the cool whip container because als like to do a fair amount of digging.
Good luck!
Alice
