LA Area Reptile Doctor

Hey

My older bearded dragon has an infection in her arm. She needs a little blood or puss drawn to make sure whats wrong and perhaps something washed out in a operation.

I am working 12 hour days six days a week but can drive around the West Side of Los Angeles. I used to have a doctor that made house calls and had fixed this in the past.

Can anyone help or recomend a good local vet? The two vets I went to today insisted on xrays and blood work, which would determine nothing and would have set me back $400.00 before we even got started.

Anyone got ideas?

Rick

This is where I found my vet. I use Dr. Worrell located in West Hills, but here is a list of local vets..

If you're willing to hit the 405 south to Torrance then I HIGHLY recommened:

Animal Emergency Referral Center (310)325-3000

Although they're a "referral" center for vets, I've taken my Beardies in and I received great service at a reasonable price.

They've got a great DVM who deals with Avians & Exotics. I don't think she's in everyday so you'll obviously have to make an appointment.
