they are ok, I choose to stick with Reptisun 5 it's the standard if you want more info on UVB try groups.yahoo.com/group/UVB_Meter_Owners/

I also choose to stick with the Reptisun 5.0 over the exoterra lamp. There is some detailed information on various bulb output located at http://www.anapsid.org/. They tested almost every bulb made from fluorescent to MV's .
