Hissers and Orange-head roaches in the same cage?

KenW May 10, 2004 11:15 PM

Last week I saw a popular post about roaches. Hope to get some responses here.

This weekend, I saw orange-headed roaches available at the local pet store. I wanted to know if I could keep this species with my Madagascar hissing cockroaches. Would both species be able to coexist and breed in the same cage? Thanks ahead of time.

when i first got my lobster roaches (about 60) there were some giant lobster roaches mixed in (like 6)....4 months later 90% of the colony is giant lobster roaches...how and why the lobster roaches didn't keep up i do not know but apparently keeping 2 species together can have a negative effect on at least one.
