Cool snake! I just love BPs.

To bad we can't really understand reptiles as they are solitary animals. As far as we know reptiles don't like to be held. They would much rather be left alone. Put them down they don't come to you, they would much rather be left alone. Just some thoughts,
John
Hi John! You are right about it, but only 99% right. I have about 40 snakes; most of milk snakes don¡¦t like to be handling too much, only 2 of them won¡¦t try to run away. But this ball python is different, she knows me, and she doesn¡¦t get scare when human handle her. And she knows when her feeding time is. Also I have a yearling albino boa, she is very sweet, I spend lots of time with her, and I almost know how to read her mind. I usually handle her when I watch TV, and she will stay on my leg and sleeping. I totally agree what you said, but I just want to point out, there is still some exception. Thanks.

hate to be the barer of bad news but that last image is of a boa not a ball python.
i do beleive he posted the pic of the boa considering he made mention of her and wanted us to see a pic...or at least that's what i picked up when i read the post...
Yes I agree, he is referring to the albino boa in the pic in his text, he said it is a yearling. That is a nice boa by the way.
Ball python and boa both are king of the snakes. I believe everyone love ball also love boa. They are not just snake to me. I really think they do have personality, and if the keeper spent more time and try to read their mind, they can become very good pet. We just have to let everyone try to understand how great to have snakes like this. I hope everyone has a great year. Thanks. Eric¡K
i agree with you about their personalities, maybe i might be the only one though. my little girl ball is very personable and is always very calm and chill through everything, she'll just chill and climb around slowly. i have noticed that she will come to the front of the cage and look over at me where i'm sitting and she will do this very often and i don't feel it's just a fluke. my little boy ball is very skittish and when he is out he just likes to sit still and when he does decide to move he is very darty in his movements. i have also noticed with my girl that when my boyfriend holds her, if she's on his shoulders she will move to the one that is closest to me, if i move to a different side of him she will go to that side and stretch out towards me, we've tested this behavior out on different occasions before.
i know that people could flame me really well for what i have said here, but it's just what i have noticed after taking care of them for a while. maybe i look too much into it, but it's what i've seen.

If people flame you for that they haven't paid enough attention to any individual snakes behavior.
