New Released second edition of "Chameleons Natures Hidden Jewels"

rkreptiles May 11, 2004 11:49 AM

If anyone gets a chance to pick up Petr Neca's newly released second edition of "Chameleons Nature's Hidden Jewels" definitely do. It is an awesome book with many new species listed in this edition. Also there are pictures in the book from my collection (including my Siamese twin C.T.Hoehnelli) as well as pictures from a few others that post on this forum and others that are well known to the Chameleon Community. i.e. Chris Anderson, The Ed & Liddy Kammer, etc.

Also, all of the Rhampholean, Brookesia have been removed from this edition as they are being released in their own book "Stump-Tailed Chameleons Miniature Dragons of the Rainforest"

Thanks for the heads up on the book...do you know where it can be found? I never seem to find any good cham books anywhere. Speaking of, is the Orlando show this weekend supposed to be large or small? I went to the website and it's outdated...will you be going?

I'm trying to decide if it would be worth it to drive down on Sunday. Too much other stuff going on on Saturday.

Take care
Kristen

I am not sure which show in Orlando you are referring to. I was nto awareof a show there this weekend. We attended a show in Orlando at the Fairgrounds weekend before this past one. Let me know which show is going on but we won't be attending the show.

As for the book I am sure it should be at the larger book retailers but the address below is the one listed for US sales inside the book.

Check out the "events" link at the top of the page...under there it shows an Orlando reptile show scheduled for this weekend. I thought it would be too close to some others to be really happening, but, nevertheless, it's listed so I thought I would ask about it.

Thanks for the book info. I appreciate it.

I just bought that book, but I'm not sure what edition I got. It is a great book.

for $25 - not bad. I've seen it as high as $125 on Amazon.
