Starting to worry about bull snake not pooping

Nechushtan May 11, 2004 03:10 PM

My 1 year old Albino-Whitesided bull is usually very regular and poops about 3-4 days after a meal. She went blue right after her last feeding 14 days ago and hasn't pooped since. Should I worry? If so what can I do? Thanks.

Try soaking it in luke warm water for a couple hours. Seemed to help in the past for me.

Don't worry a bit!

I have had pits not poop for a long time. Some like to do it as soon as possible, some don't. I just had my white bull go into shed after eating, and he didn't poop for almost two weeks. When they are resting as they make their new skin....in my experience they don't do much pooping during that time. Well......my white bull shed and man o mighty......that was a pile he had to show me! LOL!

My snakes that don't poop often are my Applegate San Diego gopher, snow southern pine, white bull, and TX bull. Don't know why, but they choose to just hold it in a little longer.

One good thing about it is that I don't have to clean their cages as often. LOL!
