Eating and weight gain?

maneatingorchid May 11, 2004 05:49 PM

I've noticed my little guy (56 grams) has been eating a whole lot. He was gone for two weeks, and dropped 20 grams, down to 48, but in the week he's been back, he's eating a LOT, and is gaining quick! Is there any harm to him gaining that much weight that fast? He's just eating like a monster, stealing food from other uros, and of course leaving massive "messes" everywhere. I mean he seems ok, but is it hurting him in a way not yet visable?

I'd say, let him eat! He's replenishing the stored fat that he used up during his vacation. There's no harm, that I know of, by letting him eat. If he's not hungry, he'll stop. As for the others, make sure they have their own dishes to eat from. Offer a small lid of water, he also may drink. It won't hurt to try, and if he drinks, he probably needs it.

Good Luck
