Need some help with a friends bearded guys.

HalosExotics May 11, 2004 06:45 PM

Hey all, I have been helping my friend with his two beardies for the last year. His female, who just got done breeding, deficated today with a miniscule amount of blood in the stool. It was like two drops and it came after the poo exited the body so could it have been something to really worry about. Not sure if this had happened before or not. What could this be caused by?

FYI: there are not carrots or orange veggies in the diet.

Also, she is very healthy, breeding, eating, hefty in size.

Thanks guys!

Phil

Blood in the stool is usually caused by coccidia overload or parasites. Get a fecal check done. When there is blood, it means it's a pretty serious problem.
