these things live in my front yard...what is it?

i live in chandler, arizona. Im pretty sure there are only a few of these around here. i see two scurrying off of my driveway when i come home everyday. i caught this one because he was in my garage. i already let him go im just interested in what it is. thanks.
p.s. he was young, no more then 6 inches. the adults in my yard are a little bigger

In fact, it might very well be the subspecies C.t. gracilis. They are really neat lizards. I have 2 different species of whiptails as pets, and really enjoy their bold exploration of their surrounds.
