Morning Suprise

styrsnake May 11, 2004 07:20 PM

I don't post much here but I definetly do a lot of lurking. When I woke up this morning I went and checked up on my gravid female and to my suprise she had 15 live and 1 stillborn baby in with her. The stillborn looked like a result of a spinal defect. This is my first year breeding boas and my females first litter. I have breed Rattlesnakes in the past but never boids.
She had her waxy stool on the 105th day POS and deficated again on the 107th day. She gave birth on the 112th day POS. She did not lose much weight while being gravid, maybe do to the small litter and also being fed twice while she was gravid. Just thought I would share some photos.
Thanks,
Steve
