Eastern Box with classic features

norristhenut May 11, 2004 08:22 PM

This is our Tom Turtle we think he has classic features for his breed. Tom was found in the middle of the road upside down with a broke one side cracked other side shell, and teeth marks and didn't come out of his shell for 3 days. You should and can see him now. He's made a full recovery and has a safe home.

Thank you very much, I just wanted to share something positive about box turtles and the people who care for them like all of us.

pretty turtle. glad you resced it. when its all healthy again, you gonna put it back?
anyway, i cant see any of the real good sex indicators, but from what i do see, it looks female. many (not all) males have very bright red eyes. and males are more likely to have red color on the skin and shell too. does the turtle have the indetned plastron? big tail? cloacal opening far down the tail? anyway, those are male things.
