False Alarm

wolfgirl591 May 11, 2004 08:48 PM

It turns out that I think she was just stressed, because today she ate 21 meal worms, and has been very active. Thank you for the info though, and I think I will put her in the 12 gallon this weekend so that she will lay her eggs in the container.
Thanks Again.

Just one more quick question. I don't really have anywhere in my house that doesn't change temperature a fair amount. I was wondering if I need to have a heat lamp on them, and if I need one, do I need it on at night too?

If I'm correct in assuming that you caught your pair near where you live, incubation temperature shouldn't be a big deal. The eggs would naturally experience pretty much the same temperature fluctuations out in the wild. Last summer I just put my eggs in a little servin' saver with some damp vermiculite and stuck it in a drawer in my bathroom. After about two months they all hatched. So just pick an area that will stay mostly in the 70's and you should be fine.
