fence lizard care

i got a northern fence lizard ive had for about a month now... i keep him on play sand with a few sticks and a rock in there... its a 10 gallon tank... does he need uv light? he's about 4ft. away from my beardie's tank and about 2ft. away from my cham. tank so he's getting some uv possibly from that distance... ??
