In all honasty you come hear asking for others opinion on something and when they give them to you you debate with them. You are going to do what you want in the lang run so why even esk the questions that you know you do not want the answers to. As a young man I strongly suggest you work up to a retic. They are not beginner snakes. They require a lot of space, tons of food, and require multiple people to handle them after a year. Do you have that. Do you have herp conscious parents that are willing to help you out with the costs and the care of these creatures. They are a lot of responsibility. They are not something to get on a whim just to impress your friends. Start with a red tail, or a carpet python. Learn the care requirements and how to maintain a constant environment. Learn how to properly handle, feed, and care for a moderately sized snake and get some experience first. That is all I have to say on this matter. Todd
