Hey - you need to lighten up and not think you have all the answers. I do not consider myself a complete moron and I lost a trio of brevi's last summer. As the long term posters know I had done my research for months, bought them from one of the most reputable breeders in the country, brought them to the vet at the first sign of trouble (yes, I paid the expense because I had taken on the responsibility the day I got them) and, as Carlton pointed out, they are not only difficult to recognize symptoms due to their size, coloration and general habits, they are even more difficult to treat.
We (myself, vet, breeders, KS forum posters) do NOT know what they died from. Their setup was fine, temps, humidity, etc. I was so baffled by this I was even going to the expense of having Bart, my last one to go, preserved in formulin because I found an out of state vet who was willing to do a necropsy. My car died on the way and by then it was too late.
I am the last one to start an argument on this forum but I have to say I am getting a bit tired of your self-righteousness. Read over your own posts – you always have “the answer” and the last word – and you are always right. I was interested in watching how this thread went but I had to step in b/c you called me a complete moron. To me a moron is one who is willing to take the life of an animal into his hands but have the attitude of maybe/maybe not go to the vet - because it is all about the money.

I apologize to the rest of the forum for getting a bit out of control.
