Can someone help me with a progect????i know you wanna help......

lilroach56 May 12, 2004 04:46 PM

Hey. I have a progect in History that i need to do. It is on Joseph McCarthy, it is a biography progect. I need basic info like:
family (brothers?, sisters?, parents divorced?, etc)
big changes (stuff that caused them to change)
what they did
what they are remembered for

But i would also like some dirt like:
affairs
allegations of crimes
crimes they committed
hipocrisy

You get the general picture.

I would prefer links to a site, but if you have a quote from a book i would need the author, date published, publishing company, where it was published, etc. Also if you write something out i will need to source you (preferably with your name, but e-mail is fine).

thanks

You mention Senator(?) Joe Macarthy as your subject but your questions refer to "They".

Just for clarification who are the they's...his family? Or the people that "Tail Gunner" Joe was instrumental in getting black listed.

It's not that difficult to find information on Joseph McCarthy. I'm guessing you're talking about the Senator?

Another good place to go is the local library! No, Don't Blanch at the sound of that word! The Library should have more than enough information. You can also go to university and college libraries. You don't have to have a card to do research at a library (only to check out books).

Good Luck!

The more interesting it is the better grade you get. It is the difference between an A and a B. Books usually dont have that much dirt.

Then visit those links I gave you.

It might take a while, but don't stop at the 1st page of results. Sometimes, I've gone through 10 pages of results before I've found something good. And I've also picked up tidbits along the way through those 10 pages. I know most of my students just peruse along the first page and then quit, saying they can't find anything - I caught one student red-handed trying that, lol.. He accused me of giving him a topic to research that I hadn't even researched myself.. Which was wrong - I wouldn't give a topic that no one could info on (and I knew that several other students had found all sorts of info). His problem was that he stopped on the 1st page of results. BAD Idea!!!
