is this shell rot? *picture*

if it is, how do i get rid of it?

this is off my res who is about 3-4 yrs old and about 3-4 inches long.

they live in a 30 gal long tank with hagen power filters attached to each side so the tank is pretty clean..

Does that small spot soft or does it look like it will peel away and that there is soft matter under it? If not i would say it is just algae growing under a scute or on top of what looks like shell scar.

hmmm..no actually the spot's pretty hard still, nothign scrapes away. their shells do tend to have some algae on them. so probably not shell rot then huh?
