I'm still unsure about this..

I have my two new babies coming on tuesday, in like 5/6 days, (one blizzard and one albino). Anyways, I have a 10 gallon tank for both of them, do you guys think this is large enough? I bought the 10 gal thinking i was just getting a blizzard, then broke down and ordered an albino as well. The tank seemed like it would work but when i started to set it up it felt really cramped, do you think it will be ok?

Hi

If you are getting two babies, then a ten gallon would be fine, but only for now. The general rule is one adult gecko per ten gallon tank, so once they look like they are starting to outgrow the same ten gallon, you will have to get yourself another, or set up a 20 for them both. Good luck and congrats on the new babies!

Definitely. It should last you awhile. Although, when they're about sub-adult, id switch them to a 10g each.. or both in one 20g (unless, of course, they're both males, in which case they shouldn't be housed together at all; or unless you have a male & female whom you don't want breeding).

Congrats & Good Luck!!

if you have them in the same cage you can't quarentine them from your already established collection. I would say no. If they are both just hatchlings i would get two shoeboxes and a human heat pad. Place the shoeboxes on the heat pad and you have 2 cages.

keep the 2 of them in one 10 gallon tank......not if she can keep them with her other leos... I think keeping them together in the 10 would be fine for now assuming they are small still, but they will definitely have to be upgraded in the future!

well...Im not sure about that. I didnt think about it, but they are coming from xtreme..and xtreme does wholesale, and may or may not have let these babies come in contact with other geckos and each other. But to be on the safe side, id quarintine them first for atleast 2-3 months..if not longer.

you cant quarentine animals if there is more than one in the cage.

Heheh, first off, I'm not a "she". Anyways, I'll try out the 10 gallon for them while they're small, and if everything goes well, I'll keep them in there until I can sex them. If they're both males, I'll buy another 10 gal, and if at least one is a female i'll buy a 20-25 gal for both of them, sound good?
