Letting your Uro run outside

kane65 May 12, 2004 05:47 PM

Is it ok to let your uro run around in the yard (there's no pesticides or fertilizer that've been used this year)?

I let her today (with a 20' leash) and she seemed to love it I just wanted to make sure it was ok. Ambient temp 85 & sunny.

Just keep her away from poisonous plants like azalea.

The natural sunlight is awsome for the uros. But my only concern is what happens if she'd happen to get out of that leash? Just so you are quite certain she is ok out on it. Doesn't take much to spook a uro outside.

I prefer to use a rubbermaid container that I set outside with a screen top over it so that they can still reap the benefits of sunlight, but cant get into poisonous plants or get away.

Otherwise, knock yourself out .
