Please Help!

Haven't posted in awhile just been viewing all of your helpful comments, etc. However, I have run into a problem of sorts with my 9 month old female corn. She has stopped eating (for about the last 3 or 4 weeks - she was an avid once a week eater before) but like my other snakes, I figured she just wasn't hungry for awhile. Well, I checked her today and in handling her and checking her over I noticed that about an inch to two inches above her vent her body is much "harder" than it normally is with kind of a bulge. I have frantically been checking and calling around town and can't find a vet even remotely specializing or dealing in reptiles (I just moved here). Anyone have any advice or help (could this be some type of egg slug or something...or is she too young)? I had been keeping her in aspen, but have now switched to papertowels only - she still seems to be deficating and urinating. She seems somewhat sluggish, but still seems awake and ready to wrap herself tightly around my fingers when I examined her. Thanks for any help.

Could be an impaction, could be a tumor. She really needs to see a qualified reptile vet. While your rounding one up you could try soaking her in warm water.IMHO

Try a warm water bath. If she's impacted this may help loosen it.

Also, try to find a vet through this link:

that you have a fecal test run to check for parasites and protazoans that will live in the mice the snake eats. ANY vets should be able to run it, wether reptiles or birds cats or dogs, it's all the same test.
