i am building the cage 20 inches high so should i mount the uv light on the top of the cage or in the middle or where? i am going to have the exo terra 8.0 and 2.0 bulb in there.

It should be within 12" of the basking spot. the closer the better. If it is going on top of a screen, up to 1/2 the UVB can be filtered out by the screen.

it will be inside the cage not on the screen right now it is in a tank and is right on the basking spot. so just anywhere above the basking spot. okay cool thanks for the info.
