Yup they are hitting day 60 on Saturday! BUT since I've incubated at 80* or 81* the first forty five days, and now 82* to 83* the last ten or so days, I'm thinking that they might take up to a week longer. One of the eggs got a tiny bulge which I am not sure is mold or not, I sprayed my hand with some spray on foot fungus powder and then rubbed the spot. The step-kids are here and we candled all 16 eggs (8 Cal King, and 8 Blotched king) and all of them have very strong red veins. We just have the "patience" mode in strong now.
SO... in the meantime I'm content to surf most of the kingsnake boards and wish for a good hatching, and WAIT for a good hatching, and dream of snakies I might breed next year so that I can pull my hair out over twice as many eggs for twice as long a period.
And to make this into a Corn Snake post... the corn snakes I currently have:
Hermes: He's striped het for amel (Stephen Fowler Stock)
Athena: Anery Striped (Stephen Fowler Stock)
Aphrodite: Normal het for Motley (Love)
And I plan on purchasing at the very least:
1.1 Upper Keys snakes
Snow het for hypo and charcoal
Amel het for hypo, charcoal, anery
Anery het for charcoal, hypo, amel
Normal het for hypo, charcoal, anery, amel
plus either normals het for Aztec, or some Aztecs/Zig Zags, and possibly a Motley.
I was just curious what it would be to breed two normal snakes that are het for Motley and het for Aztec.... theoretically 1/8 would be Homozygous Motley and Homozygous Aztec. .... so what would it look like?
