Fluval 404 Filter...

jayhawk May 12, 2004 09:57 PM

Hello.

Is the fluval 404 a good choice for a 90-gallon aquarium housing 2 turtles?

Also, what's included in the box; does it contain everything I will need to get things started?

Thanks.

I just recently bought a fluval 404 myself, although only for a 40 gallon breeder. The box comes with everything necessary including all the hosing and clips to hold them to the aquarium; I was very impressed with the initial performance although I can claim no knowledge on long term performance since I just got it.

Supposedly, you are supposed to have a filter that can handle 1.5-2x the water load of your tank for turtles. I believe the 404 has a 150 gallon recommended capactity, so you should be fine

Thanks very much. That's exactly what I wanted to know.
