What makes an albino Applegate SD gopher?

SalS May 12, 2004 10:03 PM

I've been wondering what is the difference between and Applegate San Diego gopher snake and a normal albino gopher snake. If at all possible, could someone post pictures of each to show the difference.

Thanks

They are just two different types of albino. The Applegates have a brilliant white back ground with bright orange markings. Their orange head really stands out. The other albno is less brilliantly colored in my opinion. They are not compatible, if you breed them together you'll get normal looking gophers that are het. for both albino traits. I have pictures of applegates on my website. I don't have any of the other type.
