Just got this little male this morning! Gosh, is he little!!!
Snapped a couple pics when I put him in his enclosure... now, I have to control myself, and leave him alone... that's the hardest part!
Just wanted to share,

Very nicely colored, where did you purchase it from?
Linda
Thanks Sunshine!
I'm really happy with him... he's just soooo little! I purchased him from xtremereptiles, and I am very happy with the transaction... A packaging, quick & to the point responses to email... nice animal. And there is It's the first time I've ordered anything from them, and I'm really happy.
They told me that this particular snake was feeding on fuzzy mice... but, gosh... he looks so small! Then I read on here that people are saying a little one can eat HOPPERS! Geesh! I can't even imagine... but, I will go with what you all tell me on here, because you all have beautiful, healthy animals. BTW, he's a little over 3 months old (and did I happen to mention he's little?).
Thanks,
Mindy
yeah BRB's can eat bigger prey than most babys. thats a cutie and look at the size of that head LOL.

Jeff,
This guy is so small... can he really take a hopper mouse?
I want to know what I should try to feed him. The breeder I got him from said he was eating live fuzzy mice... but, I want him on f/t A.S.A.P.
Should I try a f/t hopper... or try to find a live fuzzy?
If I go with a hopper, do I feed him just one?
Gosh, if I spent as much time working as I do looking for information on snakes, I'd probably get a promotion! LOL
Thanks, in advance
Mindy
Mindy,
. They really can eat a hopper at that size. Someday I am going to take a PIC of a newborn BRB eating a BIG mouse for it's first meal. They really can do it but it is not a good idea as they are more likely to puke up an oversize meal.
. I can understand your desire to get this one on frozen thawed as soon as possible. I would go ahead and see if it will take a very warm thawed hopper offered in the dark and with minimal activity. If you get everything right it very well may take frozen thawed for you. If it does not just go ahead and feed it a few live meals to get it used to eating at your house and you should then be able to easily switch it to thawed meals. Many people make a mistake trying to FORCE a change in diet at the same time they have FORCED a change in habitat. See what works and go from there.
Good luck,
Jeff

My 0.1 BRB was born Mar '04. She is just as small as yours and takes a live hopper once a week with no problem. She has a nice size lump in her, but it is gone in 2-3 days.
I'd say one hopper every 7 days. If you want to, go with 2 fuzzies... one live followed by one F/K.
I have no experience with F/k and BRBs but that won't be overfeeding.
Good luck and be sure to post pictures a lot for us to admire...
