We were packing today for our forthcoming trip to the Peruvian Amazon, and I began thinking about some of the spectacular amphibians we see on each adventure. Among the prettiest are the tiny (3/4" long) members of the Dendrobates ventromaculatus group. The one pictured was photographed on a dead leaf along the Rio Orosa in Loreto Dept Peru.
