Brownie (caging ideas)

tegu2002 May 13, 2004 11:04 AM

I have recnetly bought my fourth burmese python, he is chocolate brown and very very tame. He is 4 months old and as big as his year old room mates. Some growth rate. At the moment we have all four in one cage but it is soon to be way too small. All are eating well and show no signs of stress. I was just wondering if anyone on this forum had pictures of their adult burmese python cages so that I could get an idea of the size etc of the cage I should get or build for them. Also how old do burmese pythons have to be before they breed. One of the year old females I think may be gravid, but she may just be fat, im not sure. If anyone could send me some pictures and maybe some information about these guys, it would be very much appreciated.

Is this an actual room that they live in? If so, that is one thing (but still a bad idea) but to have four burms in a regular style reptile cage is a sure fire recipe for disaster. I would strongly recommend that you either house your burms singly, or, find homes for those that can't be accommodated properly. Just my .02. Rob
