Honastly everyone here has started off trying to be helpfull and supportive. The reactions you receive are a direct reflection of how you present yourslef. In time you should understand that better. todd

You obviously can not take the criticism directed to you. The forum members who have voiced consern to you did not do so simply for there own amusment. Animals are not toys, you need to GROW UP before getting ANY. That includes ball pythons, and corn snakes. I am definetly sick of all of the threads you are posting and frankly im about to tell your parents... :P

Please read this post then go away...

Reasons why BBallFan should not have a retic?

A) NOT OLD ENOUGH / UNSTABLE
at your age you have no ideal what your getting into, you forget about your own future obligations, you havnt even lived the lifetime of a retic yet. Where are you getting the money to feed and house this animal? What about the vet? School? Job? Girlfriends? Kids? Can you take a giant snake with you when you finaly move out of moms house and into your own little hole? Will there be enough room there? Can you even afford to buy a huge cage? Can you even afford to feed it?

B) NOT MATURE ENOUGH
your posts explain this to everyone in the forum, if you cannot be mature here you have no bussiness with such a large powerful animal...

C) ABANDONMENT/CRUELTY
too many animals have already been abandoned or abused... The commitment you need to realise is being there for the animal during every problem, getting medical attention when needed, feeding it regularly, housing it in a appropriate cage, and this for 20+ years.

D) MEDIA
Every year sombody gets killed by there pet python... I could only imagine the story youd bring to our hobby. THIS IS BAD MEDIA, not everyone who ends up on the news is an IDIOT. But most of em are...

SO BBALLFAN leave the giants to the bigboys, grow up, if you still want a retic do more reserch and get one after you already have a house, and a job. Before I forget to say so Im sorry for being so blunt in this post, and I realy dont care to dispute any of this with you...

I am 22 got my first retic only one year ago. His personality, growth and just the power are nothing I have seen in 12 years of have owning snakes, because he is the king. But starting with a retic is just mean to the animal. And that is all I am worried about in this situation.
