EVE - YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE THIS ONE, I WAS ON THE PHONE AND HAPPENED TO LOOK INTO MIKE'S ROOM AND SAW A LIZZARD ON THE FLOOR, OF COURSE, HE DOES NOT KNOW ONE IS ON THE LOSE - ANT HE TOLD ME TO NOT CLOSE THE SCREEN ON TOP OF CAGE IN ORDER TO ACCOMODATE THE HEAT LAMP, THIS IS HOW THIS ONE ESCAPED.

ANYWAY, MY NEIGHBOR SAYS TO PUT PEAS IN CONTAINERS AROUND THE HOUSE AND HE WILL COME TO THE PEAS - WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST?????

hey there
i am not sure if eve has talked to you yet so i thought that i would post something. i assume you shut the doors to that room, right? well make sure you block the spaces under the doors too and where are your AC vents? just make sure he cannot get to them. many times the lizards do not go too far. he is going to be looking for heat and probably a hide spot like he would have in his cage. so look on shelves or anywhere he could be sleeping and also look near things that generate heat, like does he have a stereo or something plugged in? he cannot produce his own heat so he will be looking for it.

these guys eat insects so peas will not draw him out. maybe you could put one of the rocks on the floor and somehow fanagle one of the heat emitting lights to point to it. that way maybe he will come out and bask.

i am not sure what mike said but the lamps can sit on top of the screen lids and you can close the lids.

I want to add, not only to set the heat light up on the floor (a little baking area) to lure him out, but also I remember

before you hung up you said you were going to see if you could see him tonight.

You will not see him come out, at night he will be asleep (somewhere) You will only see him come out during the day!
Also listen very carefully as you can sometimes hear them jump onto or into things.
