breathing trouble

chamsrcool May 13, 2004 03:38 PM

it seems my veiled has clogged nostrils. it's like pwder or some shed scales its not bubleing as he breaths or anthing. it just seems to make it hard for him to breath. when i spry him or when he is swollowing he has to open his mouth push out the dewlap or whatever and breath in hard almost gasp he does this ever once in while during normal times also.

problem or should i just try to rinse it out with mistings or just let it go and see

sometimes there is salt build up in the nostrils and they will sort of blow it out (Luna uses a tissue ). If it continues or seems that he is gaping or gasping you may want to do a vet visit or at least a phone call. But it is possibly just salt.

Just a note, I find that sometimes Luna will eagerly "over drink" and will then do a gape/gasp action, swallow a lot (tongue movement in gular), then she's fine.
