Just got my order of mealworms in the mail

fadetolemons May 13, 2004 04:32 PM

Dang man, I got home and my mealworms were here from Grubco (www.grubco.com). I'm very impressed!! It was less than $10 for 1000 premium mealworms shipped. The only prob i had was 1) some ants had crawled up onto the box they came in, i guess they smelt the worms, and 2) they sent them in a cloth-like sack, as opposed to a plastic container. Oh well, i made a gut-load/substrate for them and put about 900 in our refridge in the garage, and have about 100 upstairs. They look very healthy and only about 15 of the 1000 arrived dead. I suggest you guys order yours from grubco.com. It's very cheap and they are healthier than pet store mealies.

Ive ordered from them a few times, and never had a problem.
Although, a friend of mine said she ordered mealworms last Friday, and has yet to recieve anything..hmmm...Wonder why.
But id recommend them also, they've done good for me so far.

I shop with Grubco too. I personally hate the cloth sacks because its quite hard to get the worms out. You should call about the ants, you might get a refund of sorts, but I've never had problems. Shipping is a bit slow, and I tend to freak, but their customer service is great. Good luck with the refigeration!@
