Last month I purchased 4 Red eyed tree frogs. All 4 were housed in a very small 10 gallon aquarium for 6 months. I have a 70 gallon set up with lots of plants, vines,....etc..temps and humidity is near perfect. HOWEVER...here is what I would like some feedback on. I have literally stayed up all night (under the red nightlight and watched them eat/hunt)...and this is what happens...They see a cricket...they move to a spot to where the cricket is..and they wait....and they wait...and wait...finally after about 1/2 and hour they just go back to sleep..
this especially happens with the little baby.(smallest one) Is it that the encloser that I have them in is too big and now they actually have to HUNT for their food?? rather than being in a 10 gal and wait for it? How easily do Red Eyed TF's adapt to much larger surroundings? Any suggestions or thoughts or ideas are greatly apprieciated...
THanks ahead of time
